Thanks to Google and Ma not checking a map we had a bit of a wild ride in MAWD today. 15km on a gravel road which we needed to come back on
= 30km!!
It was 30°, humid, and I didn't love it!
Ma kept saying 'wow look how beautiful it is'
I wasn't really happy until we stopped and I found some marshy water to run in
Notice the splat on the windshield. It happened on the highway going 100kmh. A very large bug or small bird??
This looks good! Can we stop here?
Oh no GRAVEL means bumps!
Ma should have taken a picture of the wooden bridge we crossed. She said it reminded her of Cuba.
The best thing about making a wrong turn is you can see some very special and unexpected things.
We saw a very large moose standing deep in the marsh eating the weeds and grasses.
......now to find the actual entrance to Algonquin Park
Love your photos..... you are an amazing photographer ......from totems to bugs. Whistler has been cool for the most part of June; lots of bears as usual. Highway near Horseshoe bay was closed due to a fire; north lane still closed till they take care of problem trees. Enjoy your travels; you will have to post your milage with each section to show your progress...... Hugs
Lynda! Your photos are amazing. The close up of the bee and the fire fly??? So beautiful. The flowers and all of the nature you are seeing is just awesome. Stoked you saw a moose... making that wrong turn worth while for sure xx Thanks for posting all of your adventures. Such a treat! xx -chrissy
I love taking wrong turns - well, some of the time anyway!
