Bonjour France

Updated: May 15, 2024

We truly aren't done with Newfoundland.

Puffins, beaches, trails, people, getting screeched in! Just so much more! Stay tuned!

Ma's been so slow with posting because she's so busy with everything else, but I let her know we need to get posting

St. Pierre and Miquelon it was just so doggone fun. My first time in France.

Ma even took me to the vet in Nova Scotia for a special shot. Yep! The real thing France...International Travel Hound ~ that's me!'

The sign said pets in carriers...oh my another cage! I opted to stay in MAWD on the open car deck with the salty air breeze. It was only a one hour ferry ride.

Bonjour France

As soon as we arrived Ma drove to the top of the biggest hill with a winding road through the houses. A great park with a view for lunch before finding our camping spot.

A perfect spot right between the ocean and a lake

Wow! Let's stay here!

Sunrise on the lakeside was just right

Comfy chairs for Ma & Jane to enjoy morning coffee

I'm already tired from running around!

the whole beach to myself!!

Of course Ma and I explored the whole area with the 2 wheel beast. Boardwalk and gravel road around the whole rocky hill.

Another ferry ride to Miquelon. MAWD didn't get to come. Ma made me wear this vest so I could sit with her in the people area. There were other small dogs in another area in cages. Thanks for the vest Ma...I will be good!

They almost didn't allow me to go on the island tour by 'yes' another van. I really didn't want to go but I need to be with Ma. We stopped in the middle of nowhere and the horses tried to come into the van

passing amazing beaches and places where I could run....we are just driving on a very bumpy gravel road, I can't even see out the windows.....please let me out where there are no horses!

This is it!!!

back in St. Pierre filling up with water at the local sailing club

The locals were pretty friendly. These lovely ladies were part of a few friends having a camp fire near the beach. They brought us some warm freshly smoked mackerel...maquereau fume! It was delicious!

It looked like a chess game in the middle of the road ~ turns out it's to slow traffic on the road behind the airport

Ile aux Marins across from St. Pierre

St. Pierre's Euro flare

Pastries...real French pastries and bread!! I don't think anyone who visits the island leaves without!

Interesting early morning encounter... Monsieur with a rifle and his dog coming for early morning training

Luckily not Ma this time!

More of the interesting looking island horses

Just like home

an incredible last morning in St.Pierre au revoir we will be back!
