Detours are great

It wasn't actually a detour more like a miracle! I met Gwen and Randy at Miracle Beach. Ma chatted....

I have to interupt this story for my first murder of a tick! It was crawling on my hand. I tried to squish it but it still moved. I needed to use a spoon on the hard counter. Finally a goner! Just about lost it to the depths of the lamb skin. How will I ever find them in Chessas fur??

Other than the fact I am now itchy all over, Chessa can tell you the story.

Back to a chance meeting at Miracle Beach, Vancouver Island...

Gwen and Ma chatted for all of 10 minutes. They were in a van too. We got invited to visit them in Cold Lake if we were going that way. Warning!! We will come!!

Pretty inviting! I loved the back yard too.

And ooohhh!! The living room!!

Gwen took Ma and I for a bike ride and showed us around.

Even a run through the splash park. I love splashes! These ones not so much!

Loving life today!! Thanks Ma!!

From the air base to the marina

We ran into Gwens family as they were hiding painted rocks

Although, people are starting to recognize me.

We started with insects, let's finish with insects. Gwen was on her own war against the 'red lily beetles' that are trying to devour her lilies.

Well, this detour was great but it's time to head to Saskatchewan.

Thank you to Gwen and Randy for the incredibly fun, very hospitable stay!!

The blossoms are so beautiful. Once again the whole place to yourself. Chessa is one lucky dog.💚🙏
