The Slocan Valley route was a great choice. Happy to be driving this narrow winding road free of snow.
The look out we stopped at was windy a bit wet and very rugged.
Down the road to
A quick visit and cup of tea with Phyllis & Jim (Cowboy Glen's parents)
Next checking into Nakusp for a long lost cousin that I didn't find, but met a couple friendly locals who were up for a wave and a photo.
Summit Lake
A refreshing break
Ione rest stop north of Nakusp
Wow ! 60 ft (18.2 m)
A short ferry ride across the north end of Arrow Lake was a fun surprise.
The wind was blowing from the north and the scenery was mind blowing. The sky was different in each direction.

A short drive to Begbie Falls before heading on to Revelstoke is where we camped for the night.
Hope you’re not feeling too much of the impact of the Alberta wildfires. Tim and I are on the outskirts of Yellowstone National Park — we’ll tour the park tomorrow on our way east — and it’s been impossible to even see the mountains because so much of the smoke has migrated south into Montana. Safe travels! Sue and Tim
