Heading from Cold Lake Alberta to Battleford Saskatchewan we had the roads and lakes to ourselves. In Saskatchewan there was a few hundred metres of smooth fresh black top, several kilometres of gravel and dirt, uncountable kilometres of bumpy old pavement.
We have passed lots of lakes and water not good for swimming. Ma says they are only for ducks and beavers.
I'm so happy Ma found Loon Lake and Makwa Lake! Swimming was great!
Ma likes to be in the photos too!
Ok, I'll come. I know we have more driving to do.
Suddenly the weather changed. A true prairie storm with lightning and thunder! It was hard to see the road! One flash was right at Ma's window and the thunder was right above us a milli second later. Wow!!
I don't mind storms so much, still not loving the driving part.
The storm didn't stop us from finding the turtle in Turtleford
He doesn't seem to be moving!
or the Dutch 'touch ' in Edam
Now Ma's hungry and wants cheese and crackers!
Eiling Kramer Campground
Battleford Saskatchewan we have arrived.
